Alicia O’Brien: Employers must embrace neurodiversity in the workplace

July 25, 2024

Employers must embrace neurodiversity to unlock the full potential of their workforces.

That’s according to Alicia O’Brien, SVP of innovation and customer success, who wrote a guest column for the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

“In today's competitive business environment, embracing neurodiversity in the workplace is not just a box to check off in the pursuit of a ‘diverse’ workforce. It’s a critical strategy that can drive innovation, creativity and problem-solving,” O’Brien explained.

To genuinely achieve a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce, organizations should adopt a skills-first organizational model instead of a traditional education-based approach, she added.
